Rules & Regulations

Text Box: AT TALENT AMERICA PRELIMINARIES you can perform as many times as you wish in SOLO and/or GROUP categories.  Time is limited to up to 1 minute for Models and 3 minutes for Solo or Group Acts.  Division IV Groups (20 or more person productions) will be allowed up to four minutes.  Six minute productions at $30.00 per contestant will be considered.

All finalists will be eligible for the Talent America "Talent of the Year" Awards National Finals and will be invited to present their talent at the National Finals of Talent America at their own expense.

Text Box: AT THE NATIONAL FINALS you will be permitted to perform as a Model once, as a Soloist once and up to twice in each Group Division presenting your qualifying act(s).

Judges for the National program include representatives from modeling and casting agencies, television, management firms, show business, recording and entertainment fields.

NATIONAL FINALS - TALENT AMERICA “TALENT OF THE YEAR” AWARDS

Text Box: MODELS will be judged in 4 age divisions - child, youth, teen and adult, and in male and female categories.  Models will have up to one minute to present themselves to the judges.

TALENT SOLOS will be judged in 4 age divisions.  Soloists will have up to 3 minutes to perform their act.  The most talented persons, regardless of gender, shall determine the winner and runners-up in each division.

TALENT GROUPS will be judged in 4 age divisions and by the number of contestants performing.  Talent Groups will have up to 3 minutes to perform their acts. *
DIVISION I:  2, 3, or 4 contestants
DIVISION II:  5, 6, 7, or 8 contestants
DIVISION III:  9 thru 19 contestants
DIVISION IV:  20 or more contestants.  

AGE DIVISIONS are as follows:
Child - 3 to 7 years old
Youth - 8 to 12
Teen - 13 to 17
Adult - 18 and over
The age of a group entry will be determined by majority age of contestants in said group (not average age).

Contestants requiring a microphone must use Talent America’s equipment.
Pianos are generally not available.
Music CD’s or cassette tapes need to be submitted at registration on the day of the competition.  
Vocalists cannot have backup vocals on their CD/tape or they will be disqualified.
Admittance tickets must be purchased for all non-contestants. 
NO VIDEOS OR DIGITAL CAMERAS ARE ALLOWED IN THE SHOWROOMS.
Fees paid are transferrable, not refundable.


*Division IV Groups will be allowed up to four minutes.  Six minutes at $30.00 per contestant will be considered.  Please contact the home office for approval.
